Eye Care
We are passionate about the detection and management of ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract and diabetic retinopathy and enjoy close working relationships with local ophthalmologists and general practitioners. We also provide primary and emergency eye care which includes; foreign body removal and red eye management.
Children’s Vision
We believe that early detection and appropriate management of children’s eye conditions can make an enormous difference in a child’s development. Renee Bridges is a member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists and has spent the last 6 years focusing on paediatric optometry and behavioural optometry.
Dry Eye Management
We have a special interest in dry eye detection and offer management solutions which are tailored to the individual patient. This includes Blephex and Blephasteam treatments as well as access to a wide range of lubricating eye drops.
Myopia Control
The prevalence of myopia is growing exponentially, particularly in the current climate of home-schooling and tablet-based learning. We are proud to be a registered partner with Cooper Visions MiSight Contact Lenses, which are proven to slow the progression of myopia. Our Zeiss MyoVision spectacle lenses provide and complimentary spectacle option for myopia control.

At Bridges Optical Woonona we offer full-scope optometry including children’s vision assessment, therapeutics, contact lenses, disease diagnosis and management as well as an extensive frame selection. We use the latest optometric technology to diagnose and manage ocular disease and put our patients’ health at the forefront of our business.
After Dirk den Dulk handed over the reins to Renee in 2017, Renee has enjoyed caring for the eye health of all existing and new patients in our community. We are passionate about promoting ocular health and providing the right optical solutions for our patients. Our patient’s ocular health is our priority. We enjoy a close working relationship with local ophthalmologists to ensure all ocular health needs are met in a timely manner.
